Throttle Up Experience
No Problem Raceway, April 18th, 2026 at 11:00

It's almost time for our 2nd Annual THROTTLE UP EXPERIENCE!    SAVE THE DATE!

Did you know that April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month?

Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month is observed each April to increase UNDERSTANDING, SUPPORT, and VISIBILITY for people living with limb loss or limb differences. The month focuses on educating the public about the challenges and achievements of individuals who have lost a limb due to trauma, illness, or congenital conditions, as well as those who were born with limb differences.

Organizations, healthcare providers, prosthetists, and advocacy groups use this time to highlight the importance of rehabilitation, prosthetic technology, ACCESSIBILITY and emotional support. It also celebrates the resilience and accomplishments of amputees and individuals with limb differences in everyday life, sports, careers, and their communities.

Throughout the month, events such as educational campaigns, community gatherings, adaptive sports demonstrations, and fundraising initiatives are held to promote awareness and inclusion. These activities aim to reduce stigma, encourage acceptance, and connect individuals with resources that help them maintain independence and quality of life.

Ultimately, Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month is about empowering individuals, sharing inspiring stories, advancing medical and prosthetic care, and building supportive communities that recognize ability over disability.  Something so simple as wearing orange will show your support!

Last year we organized our very first event for Limb Loss Limb Difference Awareness Month.  The first Throttle Up Experience was held at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.  Freedom Prosthetics was our main sponsor.  Like most firsts, we experienced some challenges, but nothing that we couldn't overcome.  And in the often-heard wise words of No Problem Raceway Track Manager Thomas, "No Problem" was definitely the phrase of the day!!

We must say the crew at No Problem Raceway was the best!  These are some of the kindest, most patient, understanding and organized folks to work with.  They worked diligently, making sure every person that showed up to ride had that opportunity!

This year we hope to make it even better!  Same location, same organizers and hopefully old and new faces to come take a ride in the dragster with Thomas.

The Throttle Up Experience is on 4-18-26.
