FEES Clinic  Thursday and Friday, November 5-6, 2020.  Patients will be seen from 8:30a to 5:15p, scheduled in 75 minute imcrements.  Patients should come in about 15 minutes prior to their appointment to complete paper work.  Insurance will be verfied.  If your insurance does not cover the procedure, the fee will be $100.00.  Co-Pay/Coinsurance and Payments will be due at time of Evaluation.  You can call your insurance ahead of time to see if it's covered.  

So what is FEES?  This is a Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing.  It can be performed in an outpatient setting.  You will be fully awake during the Evaluation.  It isn't painful.  There's no radiation exposure and no after effects.  An order from your doctor is not needed.  However, if you provide your doctor's information, the results will be sent to your doctor.  

Swallowing problems can come about from numerous medical conditions.  These include, but aren't limited to:  Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, COPD, Traumatic Brain Injury, GERD.
