Encouragement, we all need it. Many times in Physical Therapy we need encouragement to do what is difficult, to push through the pain, to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Who can provide this? Anyone - your PT, the support staff, your neighbor, your family....the list goes on. And sometimes we have to self motivate. What if you feel like you don't have a support system? Then you create one. With social media today, there's no lacking of access to information about support groups, meetings, networks, etc to help one cope with chronic pain, changes in life, medical issues, amputation, addiction, substance abuse. But you have to reach out. Yes, sometimes you have to ask for help. On our Facebook Page, we have a group for amputees. We also hold events for Veterans and have Patient Appreciation Parties. If you need help finding support, talk to our LCSW Kristi. She can help connect you or your family with resources.
Check out Lefty, our friend at Cat Haven. She's showing us what she can do with a little encourangement. And she's available for ADOPTION if you're interested. She just needs to be spayed. Be like Lefty!
