What do you know about Speech Therapy?  After a referral to Excel Rehab for speech therapy, we often hear patients say "but I can talk"  or "there's nothing wrong with my speech".  Oftentimes, patients and/or their families, do not realize the scope of problems that a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) can help with.  STs can treat problems related to speaking, listening, thinking, swallowing and writing.  Dysphasia is one of these problems.  Simply put, it means difficulty swallowing.  Our Speech Therapist can not only treat swallowing difficulties, but can also evaluate using FEES, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing.
