Celebrating 14 Years of Serving Our Community

For 14 years, Excel Rehabilitation Services has proudly served the Ascension Parish and surrounding communities with one simple mission: helping people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.

What started as a husband-and-wife team with a vision for compassionate, personalized care has grown into something much greater than we ever imagined. This month, we celebrate not only 14 years in business, but 14 years of relationships, trust, loyalty, and community support that continue to inspire us every single day.

One of the greatest blessings throughout this journey has been the loyalty of our patients. Many of our patients return to us again and again through different stages of life and recovery. Even more meaningful are the countless referrals from patients who tell their friends, neighbors, coworkers, church families, and loved ones about their experiences with us. Word-of-mouth support has helped shape who we are, and we are deeply grateful for every recommendation, kind review, and encouraging conversation shared about our clinic.

Over the years, we have worked hard to expand the services and resources available to our community. Some of the milestones we are especially proud of include installing our Suspended Gait Training System to help patients improve mobility and confidence, offering specialized vestibular rehabilitation services, and hosting a monthly amputee support group that provides encouragement, education, and connection.

We are also proud to have a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) on staff, recognizing the important connection between physical and emotional health. Through our resource center and veteran-specific resource board, we strive to connect patients and families with valuable support services beyond physical therapy alone.

Community involvement has always been at the heart of who we are. From participating in local events to creating a medical networking group that connects healthcare professionals throughout Ascension and the River Parishes, we believe collaboration strengthens healthcare for everyone.

One event especially close to our hearts is the annual Throttle Up Experience every April— an unforgettable event we help organize and sponsor for amputees and their families. This unique experience gives participants the opportunity to ride in a dragster while creating lasting memories, building confidence, and celebrating resilience in an empowering environment.

As we celebrate 14 years in business, we remain committed to continuing to grow, innovate, and serve our community with compassion and excellence. We are incredibly thankful for every patient, family member, healthcare partner, sponsor, and supporter who has been part of this journey.
